Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language

The program falls under the field of Literature, is a Bachelor's degree program with a duration of four years, and awards a Bachelor of Literature degree.

Cultivation Characteristics

This program focuses on the cultivation of comprehensive abilities such as critical thinking and communication. It integrates the following distinctive training features: "Language and Cross-Cultural Communication," "Chinese Classics and Cultural Heritage," "Critical Thinking and Creative Thinking," and "Chinese + Foreign Languages (English and Russian as dual foreign languages)." Additionally, it adopts a "1+X" certificate-based talent training model.

Modern Chinese, Classical Chinese, Introduction to Linguistics, Introduction to International Chinese Education, Introduction to Chinese Culture, Teaching Methods for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Second Language Acquisition Theory, Applied Linguistics, Cross-Cultural Communication, Critical Thinking, Comprehensive English, and Second Foreign Language (Russian), among others.  

Career Prospects

Graduates primarily find employment in various schools, educational institutions, overseas Confucius Institutes (Confucius Classrooms), as well as media, cultural tourism, government agencies, and enterprises, engaging in Chinese language education and teaching, Chinese cultural promotion and heritage preservation, Sino-foreign cultural exchange, cultural management, foreign affairs, international trade, secretarial work, and other related fields.
