On October 28th, a delegation led by Marfin Yuri Sergeyevich, President of Pacific National University of Russia, visited our university. President Han Ye and Vice President Zhang Hongjie met with the delegation.

President Han Ye welcomed the delegation and introduced the basic information and distinctive features of our university. He pointed out that the two universities share many areas of alignment in their academic disciplines and expressed hope that through various forms of cooperation, such as student exchange programs, dual-degree programs, and joint laboratory construction, the exchange and interaction between faculty and students could be further enhanced.

President Marfin Yuri Sergeyevich highly praised our university's achievements in cooperation with Russia and its unique educational characteristics. He emphasized that both universities should actively explore new models of cooperation and strive to cultivate interdisciplinary talents with expertise in "Russian + X" and "Chinese + X" fields.

After in-depth discussions, our university and Pacific National University reached a consensus on several cooperative initiatives, including the establishment of a Sino-Russian School of Business and Management, the construction of a joint laboratory, the establishment of an HSK testing center, and the application for a 2+2 Chinese language teacher training program for undergraduates. Both parties expressed their commitment to actively promoting the implementation of these projects to ensure substantial results.

During the visit, the delegation toured our university's History Museum, the Ministry of Education's key laboratories, the laboratories of the School of Electronic Information Engineering, and the training center of the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering. They also engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the establishment of joint laboratories.
