In 1957, a group of outstanding graduates from the college participated in the development and launch of the world’s first artificial satellite, "Sputnik 1." Heroic and renowned cosmonauts such as Glechiko and Korolev both graduated from this institution.
Training Model
During their studies, students will receive some course instruction from Ustinov Baltic State Technical University, Russia. Students can choose to study abroad under an inter-university exchange program, where they spend the first two years at Changchun University studying their major and Russian language. Students who reach the required Russian proficiency and meet academic criteria can choose to continue their undergraduate studies at Baltic Ustinov National Strength Military Technical College of Russia in the third year. Upon successful completion and meeting degree requirements, they will receive a dual degree: a Bachelor’s degree and a diploma from both Changchun University (China) and Baltic Ustinov National Strength Military Technical College (Russia), which is recognized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) of the Ministry of Education. If a student completes all four years at Changchun University, and meets the academic requirements and conditions for degree conferral, they will be awarded a Bachelor's degree certificate and diploma in higher education from Changchun University.
